A man who remained kidnapped was rescued by military agents, according to reports.
The victim was registered as Juan Carlos Vivas Graterol, who was rescued in Sabaneta, José Rafael Revenga municipality (El Consejo), Aragua state, according to a report from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), which acted as a result of a complaint.
The agents mounted an operation based on analysis of forensic telephone traces and field investigation work. The victim had been kidnapped since last Monday, May 8, when he was intercepted in his private vehicle by several armed individuals on the Pan-American highway near the Santa Rosalía high school.
The area where the kidnapping occurred is the seat of groups affiliated with the Tren de Aragua, a criminal organization directed from the Aragua Penitentiary Center, located in Tocorón.
