Army captain Vicente Alfredo Manaure Bela was assassinated while he was in a vehicle where he was traveling, which was parked in the 19 de Abril neighborhood, La Horqueta sector, Rincón del Paraíso, Puerto La Cruz (Anzoátegui), according to police reports.
Another man who was in the vehicle was also killed by a firearm.
Both the soldier and the other person were aboard a silver Toyota Fortuner, license plates AC243WG. Neighbors watched last Saturday night when the truck arrived and heard the shots inside it. The pilot and co-pilot fled after the shooting.
