Still knocked out by the punch in the form of a 3-0 loss in London to Chelsea on Wednesday, AC Milan has to think about how to prepare for Saturday’s match against Juventus, in matchday nine of Serie A.
Milan is fifth in the standings and ‘Juve’ is seventh. The Turin team has just chained two victories, one in Serie A (Bologna) and another in the Champions League (Maccabi Haifa), so they are confident that they have put their catastrophic September behind them.
Milan’s defense is greatly diminished by injuries and the Juventus attackers hope to take advantage of it at the San Siro.
Before that game, AC Milan is four points ahead on Juventus but is three units behind co-leaders Napoli and Atalanta.
Napoli will play on Sunday at Cremonese (19th, penultimate) and Atalanta plays another of the star duels of the weekend in Italy, at Udinese (3rd), which is just one point behind the first two.
Atalanta maintains a strong defense for now, with only three goals conceded, and Udinese arrives after six consecutive victories.
