The renowned communicator Milagros Germán has presented her resignation from the position of Minister of Culture, which will be effective as of January 15, as confirmed by a fully creditable source to the newspaper Hoy.
Germán, popularly known as ‘La Diva’, began her work in the National Palace four years ago, when she assumed the position of spokesperson for the Government at the beginning of President Luis Abinader’s administration. In 2021, she was appointed as Minister of Culture by decree 544-21, replacing Carmen Heredia de Guerrero.
A return to television?
Although Milagros Germán has not offered statements about her resignation or her future projects, her friend and colleague Irvin Alberti fueled speculation about a possible return to television. In a recent publication, Alberti announced that Germán will be his special guest in an upcoming theater performance, and hinted at the possibility of a new stage of the popular program Chévere Night by writing: “Is Chévere Night coming back? Something has to happen. What will they do?”
At the moment, no details have been confirmed about Germán’s professional plans after his departure from office, but his return to the small screen keeps his followers in suspense.
