On March 5, fans of Querétaro and Atlas participated in a massive battle that began in the stands, ended in the field of La Corregidora and left 26 injured.
The images of the fight in Querétaro went around the world and provoked reactions, including those of the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who asked football managers for more responsibility.
In addition to the president’s words, Arriola and Yon de Luisa, president of the FMF, were summoned on March 17 in the Chamber of Deputies in a private meeting similar to the one held on Tuesday.
The fight in Querétaro has left more than 30 detainees, among whom are three police officers, and also punishments by the FMF against the Gallos Blancos. Among the sanctions, the Gallos de Querétaro received a fine of about 67,611 euros / about 75,000 dollars, not being able to play their home games for a year without fans and a change of owners.
The old directive headed by Gabriel Solares was vetoed for five years and the administration of Querétaro returned to Jorgealberto Hank Inzunza, also owner of Tijuana.
