Mike Stump delivers a list of the 20 chosen to seek the pass to the U-17 World Cup in Peru

Mike Stump, coach of the Panama Under-17 Men’s National Team, delivered the final list of 20 called up for the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.

The 20 chosen will defend the colors of Panama in the search to qualify for the next FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023.

The CONCACAF Under-17 Championship will be played in Guatemala from February 11-26.

The final list was made after six months of preparation, which included a participation in the UNCAF Under-16 Tournament in Honduras and a recent tour of friendly matches in Medellín, Colombia.

Those summoned by DT Stump must appear today, Wednesday, February 1 in the afternoon, for the first of three days of training at the Luis “Cascarita” Tapia Stadium.

The Sub-17 will train today Wednesday at 4pm at Cascarita Tapia. Then he will train Thursday and Friday at 8am.

After the three days of practice, the youth cast will be transported this Sunday, February 5, to Penonomé to face the final part of concentration.

In Penonomé, the team will remain focused and training at the Virgilio Tejeira Andrión Stadium until Thursday, February 9, when the group will be traveling directly to the Tocumen International Airport for their trip to Guatemala City to be present at the World Cup CONCACAF Under-17.

Panama U-17 will seek to end a losing streak of 10 years without qualifying for the U-17 World Cup.

Their rivals in the Premundial group are Guatemala, Mexico and Curacao.

His debut is scheduled for February 11 against the host Guatemala, in a match to be played at 8:00 pm at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores Stadium.

Panama’s goal is to achieve its third qualification to a U-17 World Cup, after advancing to the 2011 Mexico and 2013 United Arab Emirates editions.
