He pointed out that during the visit that lasted two hours, the prisoner of conscience said that “in that place and in those moments of pain, anguish and loneliness, only God is his refuge, strength and help.”

He added that although he does not suffer from any chronic disease, “no one who has been in prison for more than 10 months can be well, only God with his power is the one who spiritually sustains and gives strength to Miguel and to each of the political prisoners who go through so many sufferings.” ».

10 months of not seeing his son, Miguelito

Other situations that Chávez mentioned is that Miguel Mora feels “devastated” for not being able to see his son for more than 10 months. «Not being with Miguelito is devastating. Miguel thinks about the child’s suffering more than himself.

On the other hand, Miguel Mora, who has been imprisoned again by the justice of Daniel Ortega since June 20, 2021, asks the people of Nicaragua —according to his wife— that “we do not stop bending our knees and praying for Nicaragua, for peace , so that our nation moves forward because God is the only one who can bring justice and will give freedom to all political prisoners and that we do not doubt that God will make good plans in this Nation, because his mercy is great and infinite».

On February 9, Miguel Mora was sentenced to 13 years in prison, for allegedly “conspiring to undermine national integrity.” The verdict was handed down by the Second Criminal District Judge for Trials, Nadia Camila Tardencilla.

The journalist was subjected to attacks, cyber harassment by supporters of the regime and since the end of 2018 the equipment, frequency and facilities of Canal 100% Noticias were confiscated.
