The Sada Cruzeiro club won this Sunday by sweeping Itambé Minas in the final match of the volleyball Super League of Brazil, with a spectacular performance by the Cuban Miguel Angel Lopez.
Aggressive in serving and attacking, the 26-year-old Cuban scored 22 points in the decisive game, was selected the best spiker of the tournament and lifted the VivaVôlei Trophy, as the most outstanding of the club, according to a report from the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.

To round off the best performance in the current season, Cruzeiro was superior on the field of Sao José do Campos, from Sao Paulo, to prevail with partial scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-20, thus filing their seventh trophy in the last ten years.
Between the qualifying phase and the quarterfinal and semifinal playoffs, the champion cast registered 23 victories in 26 duels, the publication specifies.

To access the tournament in a single match, Sada beat Farma Conde twice in the semifinals, in which the also Cuban Michale “el Ruso” Sánchez plays.
In those duels, López was once again a key player in his team’s offense. In the first, which extended to five sets, the attacker from Cienfuegos signed 32 points and a 72% effectiveness in his shots.

In addition, he has won a crown (2021) and a bronze medal (2022) in the Club World Championship with the club.
Since 2010, the team now managed by Filipe Ferraz has demonstrated a devastating supremacy in Brazilian volleyball, adding 49 titles in 58 finals, according to a note published on the official website of the club. In total, there have been 66 tournaments played in the period.
