Starting this Monday, April 18, you will be able to go to the National Immigration Service (SNM) of Panama to make your applications for renewal and permanent residence.
These procedures will be enabled for those who benefit from Executive Decree 235 of September 15, 2021.
They will also receive requests for exemptions from fines, which are pending payment by foreigners who intend to legalize and update their immigration status in Panama.
According to the SNM, applications must be submitted to the document reception department; It also reported that the suspension of the reception of all requests for extensions and permanent residences regulated by this decree will be nullified until April 30.
In the case of extraordinary and general migratory regularization permits, the validity of all of them is extended from May 1 to June 30, that is, any permit that has expired during that time will not generate expiration fines.
