Santo Domingo.– The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) executed several national operations that resulted in the Detention of 1,630 national haitian nationals in irregular migratory status and the Repatriation of another 1,388 to your country of origin.
Said operations, executed with the coordination with the State Security Forces, implied the apprehension of 316 undocumented foreigners in Santiago de los Caballeros; 213 In Great Santo Domingo, 113 in Elías Piña, 107 in Mao/Santiago Rodríguez, 88 in the east, 77 in Montecristi, 69 in Dajabón and 57 in La Vegaamong other demarcations where it acted.
To these results are also added 228 people captured by the Army, 59 by the National Police, 57 by CESFRONT and 01 by the National Environmental Protection Service. In addition to these institutions, with the DGM they also act on the Ministry of Defense, Navy, Air Force, Ciutran and Digesettamong other entities.

The deportees were delivered to the immigration authorities of their country through the Binational doors of Dajabón (524 people), Elías Piña (631), Jimaní (132) and Pedernales (101).
Through a statement, the DGM reported that the processes were made complying with the legal protocols and respect for the dignity of peopleas well as guaranteeing that identification, capture and deportation actions were effectively made and with fair treatment for interdicts, regardless of their immigration status.
The agency reiterated that its brigades are formed in ethical valuesthat act with transparency and legitimacy in migration interdiction operations and that their work is guided by a Patriotic vision to strengthen the sovereignty of the country and the well -being of all citizens.
