The National Migration Service (SNM), reported this Friday, October 28, a decrease in the flow of irregular migrants, mainly Venezuelans, entering Panamanian territory, in the last 24 hours.
They indicate that this Thursday 477 irregular migrants entered, of which 54 are Venezuelans, which represents a considerable drop in the entry of citizens of this nationality into Panamanian territory, through the Darién jungle.
They highlight that so far this year, the number of 208,866 people have entered the country in the flow of irregular migrants, of which 148,052 are Venezuelan nationals. .
During the month of October, 57 thousand 304 people have entered the flow of irregular migrants, of which 40 thousand 360 are Venezuelans.
However, in the last three days, only 2,292 people have entered the country irregularly, of which 624 are Venezuelan nationals, which indicates a drastic decrease in this type of migration.
In the migrant reception posts there are 1,634 people, of whom 1,123 are men, 230 women, 149 boys and 132 girls.
