The unionized workers held a particular demonstration in front of the gated doors of the state secretariat headquarters, where they placed cardboard coffins, cardboard headstones and funeral wreaths with inscriptions alluding to the “death of social policies.”
Both UTMIDES and SUTIGA denounced that in the last year and a half the country has witnessed how the authorities “close programs and take away resources without generating clear lines of work, affecting the quality of services.”
May the duel turn into a fight
It is estimated that there are more than 100 thousand new poor people, mostly women, children and girls who need the presence of the State.
For this reason, both unions consider that they cannot only be observers of the situation, for which they propose that the “duel” be transformed into a fight.
