Mides reported that 100,000 refills of 13-kilo bottles were exceeded

The aid is aimed at people who receive the Uruguay Social Card (TUS), Equity Plan family allowances, Old Age Assistance benefits or family allowances, through the Social Security Bank (BPS) up to the first tier.

It is worth remembering that the option, for the beneficiaries of the Mides and the Social Security Bank, has as channels to access the benefit are the call centers of the distributors ACODIKE (tel. 1980), DUCSA (tel. 1345), MEGAL (tel. 1920) and RIOGAS (tel. 1710), or in person at the usual points of sale.

When requesting the bottle, the beneficiary must specify that they will use the 50% discount. The seller will request the identity card number to verify if the benefit corresponds and will proceed with the sale. In the event that the point of sale does not have bottles or the scanner to identify if the user is a beneficiary of the discount, it will be the local which must extend the solution to the user, either in communication with the reference agent or with the distributor label.

MIDES, MIEM and ANCAP reported last month that the 50% discount on recharging 13 kilos of supergas is effective from June 1 and will extend until September, inclusive. It is important to clarify that during this period the People will be able to access a maximum of four bottles, with a monthly limit of two units.

The discount is aimed at people who receive the Uruguay Social Card (TUS), Family Allowances – Equity Plan (AFAM-PE), Old Age Assistance or Family Allowances from the Social Security Bank (BPS) up to the first income bracket. If the person is not in the registry of beneficiaries, they should contact MIDES at 08007263.

By way of background, Lema reported last Wednesday, June 8, that, in the elapsed days of that month, there were 10,000 users of the portfolio’s programs who accessed the discount for refilling 13-kilogram supergas cylinders. In inter-institutional coordination, constant monitoring of the implementation of the benefit will continue to be carried out to ensure normal supply to the population.
