The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) terminated the appointments of nine officials of the Rural Agrarian Productive Development Program (Agro Rural), through executive director resolutions published yesterday, Wednesday, June 29, in an extraordinary edition.
It is worth mentioning that the dismissals in the sector occur after the broadcast of audios that would show that there was a bribe of US$ 55 million in the tender granted to the Brazilian company MF Fertilizers for the purchase of 73,000 tons of urea.
Of said amount, 15% (US$ 8.25 million) would be part of the bribe for Agro Rural officials, according to what is mentioned in the recordings.
In the first place, the appointment of Samuel Alcides Robles Huaynate as Head of the Rural Agro Administration Unit was terminated. In his place, Luis Alberto Lezama Bedoya would take office, starting today, June 30, 2022.
Lourdes Felicia Jesús Salazar was terminated from her post as Head of the Human Resources Management Unit of Agro Rural and Mr. Eleuterio Torres Zegarra would take over in her place.
José Luis Franco Apaza was also removed from his position as Head of the Agricultural and Livestock Value Chain Unit of Agro Rural, but Jose Revilla Vuelot was appointed.
In addition, the appointment of Daniel Rodrigo Moscoso Vargas as Technical Coordinator of Agro Rural was concluded and he will assume his position as Segundo Antenor Florindez Diaz.
On the other hand, there were other officials who were fired, but who still do not have a replacement in office.
- Ernesto Ortiz Peña was dismissed from his position as Head of the Agro Rural Legal Advice Unit.
- Dany Wilbert García Ramírez was removed from his position as Head of the Rural Infrastructure Unit of Agro Rural.
- Alberto Caytano Ramos Quilca was dismissed from his position as Head of the Territorial Articulation Unit of Agro Rural.
- Damian Salazar Rojas was removed from his position as Head of the Agroforestry and Silvopastoral Value Chain Unit of Rural Agriculture.
- Gregorio Chávez Fidencio Edmundo was dismissed from his position as Head of the Planning, Budget and Investment Unit of Agro Rural.
