He added that in the next few days the presence of these entrepreneurs in the country should be specified, to make a decision together with the Government and start this project.
“Peru has to have a petrochemical plant to produce fertilizers and that is a necessity, because the food security of our population has to be guaranteed.”, he indicated on TV Peru.

According to their projection, in an average of two years they could have a fertilizer plant.
“The plant would be ready in an average of two years, what they (businessmen) have told us is that it should be as short as possible, especially if we have natural gas and phosphate rock from Bayovar and Cachimayo as input.“, he pointed.

In addition, Zea pointed out that the sector is accelerating the extraction of guano from the island to serve small producers, the goal being to increase the production of this natural fertilizer fivefold, from 20,000 tons (registered last year) to over 100,000 tons this year. .
“We are adopting the measures responsibly and this guano must reach family farmers. Almost 90% of the guano from the island is destined for our fellow farmers” he limited.
