The Mexican Seismic Alert System (Sasmex) detailed that the most recent microseism occurred on Friday, November 28 at 8:28 p.m. Through his 𝕏 account, he details that Guerrero could have been the area identified as the epicenter.
At 01:05 this Saturday, Sky Alert reported a microseism of magnitude 2.2 that was located in the municipality of Álvaro Obregón; Some social media users shared that they did feel it, especially in the Las Águilas area.
The National Seismological Service (SSN) details in its morning report this Saturday, November 29, that there are seven earthquakes recorded, four with a magnitude between 4.0 and 4.0; two with magnitude less than 3 and one with magnitude between 3.0 and 3.9. All of them, without the need to activate the seismic alert.
On the official website of the organization there is a map of Mexico where the earthquakes that occur in different entities of the country can be interactively located.

When do Seismic Alerts sound?
Sasmex details that the alarm is activated when detecting major earthquakes in the Guerrero Gap and warns at least 50 seconds in advance of the arrival of major seismic waves, with the aim that citizens activate the required protocols and look for safe areas to avoid health risks.
These are the conditions required for the seismic alert to be activated:
1.- If in the first seconds of seismic detection, at least 2 stations exceed the pre-established energy levels.
2.- Depending on the earthquake energy estimate.
3.- Depending on the estimated magnitude of the earthquake and the distance to the city to alert:
a) Magnitude greater than 5 that occurs no more than 170 km.
b) Magnitude greater than 6 that occurs more than 350 km.
c) Magnitude greater than 5.5 that occurs no more than 350 km.
That is why the seismic alert was not activated, due to the proximity of the area where the magnitude of 2.3 was already perceived; which is why it is called microseism.
Meanwhile, the most recent report from the Civil Protection of Chiapas reported that after the earthquake that was felt during the afternoon of November 28, five pre-hospital services were attended, but without major effects on citizens.
Thanks to preventive deployment and joint work with various corporations, 5 pre-hospital services were attended, maintaining balance without major incidents and ensuring a safe environment for visitors.

Because Mexico is a seismic country due to the interaction of various tectonic plates; Given this, Civil Protection recommends that the population take precautionary measures before, during and after an earthquake.
These are some of the recommendations:
1.- When the seismic alert sounds, stay calm and if you are on lower floors and it is possible, evacuate the property and follow the previously established evacuation routes.
2.- If you find yourself on a high floor and you don’t have time to go out, place yourself in the previously established lower risk area.
3.-Implement your Family Plan or follow the protocols of your Internal Civil Protection Program and follow the instructions of the brigade members.
4.-Do not run, many accidents occur during a disorderly evacuation.
