MICM receives a score of 99% in the evaluation of the Citizen Commitment Letter

Santo Domingo. – The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) received for the second consecutive year a score of 99% compliance in the annual evaluation of the Institution’s Letter of Commitment to the Citizen.

The qualification granted by the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP), “is the result of the commitment to quality and certification in ISO 9001:201 Standards, together with continuous work for excellence and institutional strengthening,” reported the MICM through a Press release.

Evaluation

The evaluation process of the Letter of Commitment to the Citizen, led by the Vice Ministry of Public Services of the MAP and its Department of Design and Improvement of Public Services, included the web portal, one-stop portal, social networks, application report, December satisfaction 2021 – November 2022, line 311 and the report of complaints and suggestions from the internal platform, essential spaces and documents for monitoring the quality processes of the institution.

The audit was chaired by the Management Control Department, which is responsible for monitoring the quality attributes and time commitments in the Ministry’s services, specifically in the Vice-Ministries of Domestic Trade and Foreign Trade.

Among the strong points highlighted in the return report received, are the proper functioning of each of the channels of communication and citizen participation enabled.

The good practices implemented regarding inclusion are also highlighted; an excellent mastery of the theme of the complaint and suggestion management system and mastery of the area responsible and mission areas of the Commitment Letter, in terms of monitoring the commitments established therein.

About the Letter of Commitment to the Citizen

The Citizen Commitment Letter program is a strategy developed by the MAP with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens, guaranteeing transparency in management and strengthening trust between citizens and the State.
