Michoacán Prosecutor's Office offers reward for 6 involved in multi-homicide in San José de Gracia

The Michoacán Attorney General’s Office is already looking, with arrest warrants, for six people who are presumed to be responsible for the multiple homicide in the community San José de Gracia. Among those wanted is Abel Alcantar Vallejo, alias “El Viejón”, “El Sierra 8” or “El Toro”, regional leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

“It has been possible to prove the identity of some of the participants in this aggression, against whom this Sunday, March 13, the Public Ministry has obtained the corresponding arrest warrants issued by the competent control judge for the crime of qualified homicide,” explained at a press conference the prosecutor of Justice of Michoacán, Adrián López Solís.

The prosecutor indicated that in addition to Abel Alcantar Vallejo, they are looking for Jesús Adrián Mora Padilla “El Mora”; Christian Alejandro Hernández Ortega “El Sapo”; Antonio Gallegos Medina “La Bolachana”; Jesús Eduardo Vallejo alias “El Chili” and Juan Manuel Barragán Cisneros “El Rush”, for whose location the Prosecutor’s Office offers an economic reward.



Presenting a preview of the investigations carried out into the events of February 27 in the community of San José de Gracia, municipality of Marcos Castellanos, Michoacán, prosecutor Adrián López Solís mentioned that 12 house searches have been carried out in that municipality where located clues, and seized drugs, tactical equipment, firearms, cartridges and explosives.

The official said that an analysis of telephone calls, land and air patrols, and tours in communities in search of the bodies of the possible deceased has been carried out.

He guaranteed that the investigation into this matter will be exhaustive to clarify the facts and locate those who participated in the multiple crime.



Progress of the investigations for the murder of Mayor Aguililla

On another topic, about the investigations into the murder of municipal president of Aguililla, Cesar Arturo Valencia Knighthappened last Thursday.

The Michoacan prosecutor said that after leading a security meeting with officials, the mayor left the municipal presidency in order to go home aboard a van. However, during the tour, between 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. last Thursday, he was attacked with firearms.

He indicated that the Prosecutor’s Office in his charge has conducted a dozen interviews, mostly with personnel who work in the municipal presidency, to obtain some clue about the murder.

He added that on March 11, personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office were alerted to the discovery of the body Rene Cervantes Gaytanadvisor to the town councilor, who was found dead in the gap that leads to a place known as the Chapel of the Tres Cerritos, in Aguililla.

He indicated that in this case, personnel from the Ministry of National Defense, the Federal Security Ministry and the National Anti-kidnapping Commission provide support in the investigations of this case.

Finally, regarding the assassination of the mayor of Coatepec, Enrique Velazquez Orosco, on February 5, the Michoacán prosecutor highlighted that arrest warrants against Ángel “N” had already been completed; José Diego “N” and Fernando “N”, alleged perpetrators of the crime.
