The new dock replaces the previous structuredestroyed after the passage of hurricane Fiona by the country in 2022, and was designed with metal and treated wood materials, which guarantees greater resistance, durability and harmony with the marine environment.
During the act inaugural, Collado highlighted that the work “represents another step forward to strengthen this beautiful destination of Miches, which will have a direct impact on its economy as a source of wealth and jobs throughout the area.”
- The pier will allow the embarkation and disembarkation of boats and catamaransbecoming a new tourist attraction in the area.

The structure has galvanized metal piles filled with structural concrete, steel beams, treated American pine wood floor and railings, stainless steel hardware, as well as a 20 x 20 foot central gazebo, built with structural wood and covered with asphalt shingle on a 1 x 6 tongue and groove lining.
