In its commitment to continue promoting financial inclusion in the country, the bank specialized in microfinance presented its new digital solution for Mypes: Mybank by WhatsApp, an innovation designed to transform the way microentrepreneurs access financial services.
Through this messaging channel, customers will be able to open digital accounts, check balances, review transactions and resolve questions quickly and safely. In a second stage, they will also be able to request loans and make transfers, thus integrating all the essential banking services in a 100% conversational environment.
“We decided to go where our clients are. Today, 97% of entrepreneurs already use WhatsApp to sell, buy and manage their business. With this proposal, we take the bank directly to their natural channel, without them having to download an application or leave the platform they use every day,” explained Arturo Johnson, Manager of the Transformation Division at Mibanco.
This new experience marks a decisive step in the country’s digitalization and financial inclusion process, by offering a simple, safe and conversational alternative. The system combines artificial intelligence and human support, which allows us to respond to queries immediately and offer personalized support when the client requires it.
Unlike traditional digital banking, Mibanco through WhatsApp eliminates technological frictions and reduces operational times. Thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, processes that previously took days can now be resolved in minutes, always maintaining human supervision to guarantee transparency and reliability.
During its first stage, users will be able to open digital accounts, check balances and movements, and resolve questions about products or services. In the coming months, the channel will also allow you to manage credits and transfers with secure validations and identity authentication within the same chat.
“This is a natural evolution of our purpose of accompanying microbusiness entrepreneurs in every step of their growth. We are committed to digitalization with a human face, which combines technology, closeness and trust,” Johnson added.
Mibanco projects that more than 100 thousand microentrepreneurs adopt the channel in the first six months. In the medium term, WhatsApp is expected to become one of the main means of digital interaction between the bank and its clients.
In addition to simplifying the financial experience, this innovation seeks to contribute to the formalization and productivity of MyPEs in a challenging economic context, offering agile, safe and reliable access to financial services.
