Mi Bus operators suspend the strike call, there was a signing of the Collective Agreement

The stoppage of work that the Metrobús operators had agreed, for this Monday, July 18, does not go after they achieved the signing of the Collective Agreement with the Mi Bus company.

There were 97 clauses that were discussed in the negotiations from which they managed to establish salary improvements, bonuses, regulation of working hours, scholarships for the children of the workers, maintenance for their cars and improvement of life insurance.

On that last point they managed to get the company to agree to increase the insurance up to 50 thousand dollars; Before the Convention, $7,000 was paid, explained Ezequiel Contreras, from the outreach department of the Union of Drivers of Collective and Selective Passenger Transport (SINTRACODEP).

“The economic clause is 7% that will be distributed in the last three years of this same agreement,” he said when referring to the issue of salary improvements.

In these negotiations where the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development acted as mediator, the signing of 30 new clauses was achieved, according to the company Mi Bus, by assuring that “the company has always been in favor of encouraging progress for the good of the workers, avoiding conflicts and divisions, focused on the future of all”.
