The MGM Muthu Hotels chain added another tourist facility to the complex that it manages in Cuba, a 5-star hotel located in Cayo Santa María, on the northern keys of Villa Clara, as reported the specialized portal HOSTELTUR.
The hotel, with 846 rooms, thus joins the group of facilities that the Indian chain already manages in Cuban destinations such as Jardines del Rey, Varadero and Holguín.
The Gran Muthu Cayo Santa María is a 5-star, all-inclusive hotel for the whole family, located 400 meters from the beach, according to the source.
Its rooms are distributed in bungalow style —including 828 Junior Suites and 18 Suites—, two swimming pools, sports area, gym, children’s area and one of the largest Cigar lounges in the area.
Rafael López, general director of MGM Muthu Hotels on the island, commented To the place Good trip to Cuba that it is his first hotel in Cayo Santa María, “to which we bring the experiences of our operation in other destinations in Cuba.”
In February of last year, the chain had incorporated its seventh establishment in Cuban territory, by managing the Hotel Almirante in the province of Holguín, according to HOSTELTUR.
It was also recently reported that the chain had assumed the administration of the Colonial Cayo Coco hotel, in the Jardines del Rey tourist resort, where it already operates three other hotels. For this, it established a contract with the state-owned Grupo Hotelero Cubanacán (GHC).
The MGM group of companies was founded in 1963 and began its journey with an amusement park in Chennai (India).
Currently, MGM Muthu Hotels is a chain with more than 50 hotels and resorts in Portugal, Spain, Scotland, England, Cuba, France, Kenya and India.
It will soon add another three hotels on the island, according to this source.
