The commitments assumed by the MGAP are:
-Implement a multipredial irrigation plan through dams.
-Fortal the National Institute of Colonization, with the award of 25,000 hectares, prioritizing dairy and livestock producers, as well as women and young people.
-Develop a sanitary program oriented to the tick control.
-Brindar technical assistance to 1,000 rural producers to increase the responsible livestock stock, focus on productive efficiency.
-The National Development Plan to enhance family production.
-Eliminate the 1% tax on semovientes.
In health matters, Fratti highlighted the signing of an agreement to initiate in November 2025 immunization tests against the tick in 6,000 animals.
As for the National Development Plan, one of the axes will be to improve water supply and management in family farms, particularly livestock and dairy. To do this, a financing line of up to $ 10,000 for family producers is expected.
In addition to these commitments, the current administration has launched 27 specific actions, distributed as follows: 14 linked to access to markets, two for the improvement of competitiveness, three focused on financing conditions, three in tax changes and tax benefits, and five oriented to productive, health and logistics aspects.
In relation to access to markets, the MGAP reported that the opening of:
-Hong Kong and Kuwait for poultry meat.
-Bolivia and Qatar for honey.
-Argelia for ovinos standing destined for slaughter.
-China for soy and rapeseed flour.
-It United, Egypt, Arab Emirates and Russia for Pecán Nuts.
-Ukraine for plants enabled by the European Union for beef with and without bone.
-Malasia for bovine meat with and without bone.
On the other hand, in the field of competitiveness, the Ministry of Transportation of Bitrenes Vehicles – Camion with two trailers – for the transport of grains on the routes 8 and 9 is studied together with the Ministry of Transportation, according to Fratti, the use of this modality would allow to reduce the freight costs towards the port of Montevideo by 30%.
