Residents of cities in Minas Gerais affected by the storms can now request a withdrawal from the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS). The appeal for the citizens of Juiz de Fora, Matias Barbosa and Ubá was released from this Friday (27).
The amount to be withdrawn is limited to R$6,220, and to enjoy the benefit it is necessary to have a balance in the FGTS account and not have made a withdrawal for the same reason (calamity) in less than 12 months.
According to Caixa, it is possible to make the request through the FGTS application. After downloading the app, you need to enter your registration information to get started.
Then, access the Request your 100% Digital Withdrawal option or, in the bottom menu, access Withdrawals, and select Request Withdrawal. It is then necessary to click on Public Disaster, enter the name of the municipality; choose the type of proof of address, enter the zip code and residence number.
It is also necessary to submit a photo of identity document and proof of residence in the worker’s name, issued up to 120 days before the calamity was declared. Choose the account to credit the amount (Caixa or another bank) and send the request.
