With these results, the investment index reached 93.2 points and remains far from pre-pandemic levels. In January 2020, the index was 101.3, for which the investment maintains a gap of 7.9 points.
The distance is even greater compared to the maximum reached in September 2015, when gross fixed investment stood at 111.85 points.
In October 2021, gross fixed investment remained stagnant, not registering any change in its levels compared to the previous month.
Construction spending falls
During November 2021, expenses incurred in construction decreased 0.7% at the monthly rate, while total machinery and equipment, of national and imported origin, grew 0.2%.
Compared to November 2020, investment in construction reached an advance of 1.4% and in machinery and equipment 7.3%.
