A plane loaded with 100 tons of humanitarian aid left Tuesday night from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) bound for Adana airport, Turkey.
The items that will be destined for the population affected by the devastating earthquakes that occurred a week ago in Turkey are the product of donations received by the Turkish embassy.
The supplies include food in general, blankets, mats, tents, light generators, medical products, personal hygiene and clothing, according to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Major General Arody Salvador Lorenzo Bautista, representing the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena); the Turkish ambassador in Mexico, İlhan Kemal Tuğ, and the executive director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (Amexcid), Laura Elena Carrillo Cubillas, who were present at the loading and takeoff of the aircraft.
José Manuel Herrera Molina, lieutenant colonel of the Air Force, pilot aviator graduated from the Air Staff, and the general director of Execution of Projects Abroad of Amexcid, Gloria Sandoval Salas.
