Mexico registers 42,582 new cases of Covid-19 and 522 deaths in the last 24 hours

The federal Ministry of Health reported 42,582 new confirmed infections of Covid-19 and 522 deaths related to the virus in the last 24 hours.

In total, 4,916,143 cases of coronavirus have accumulated in Mexico since the start of the pandemic at the end of February 2020. The total number of deaths is 305,762 nationwide.

The daily report on the state of the pandemic also shows that Mexico City, the State of Mexico and Nuevo León are the three states that have accumulated the highest proportion of Covid-19 infections.

At the last cut, there are 277,709 active cases registered throughout the country, which reflects an incidence rate of 213.4 per 100,000 inhabitants.
