The Health Secretary (Ssa) updated this Friday to 5 million 257,605 the number of total cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico so far in the pandemic. Deaths rose to 312,118, according to the daily technical report.
In comparison, the new data issued by the agency means that at the cutoff 31,336 new infections and 564 new deaths were registered.
In the country there are 114,449 active cases (those who presented the first symptoms within the most recent 14 days), although it estimates 124,734. The incidence rate for active cases is 88 per 100,000 inhabitants.
The 10 entities with the highest incidence rates per 100,000 inhabitants in Mexico are Colima, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Nayarit, Tlaxcala, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Campeche, Sonora and Hidalgo, in that order.
Vaccination
Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Strategy against Covid-19, the government reported that as of today’s cutoff they have applied 171 million 453,754 doses of the vaccines that are available in the country, with 77 million 809,539 complete schemes.
