Dialogue and collaboration with the United States in security are intense and are carried out in good terms to coordinate actions, with respect to sovereignty, said President Claudia Sheinbaum.
“They always want to ‘help more’ (…) there is dialogue, it is not that they act on their own,” but it depends a lot on the president in turn. Felipe Calderón allowed operations of US agencies, but now its elements are regulated by the National Security Law, he stressed.

Regarding the Venezuelans who intended to enter the United States but remain in Mexico, Sheinbaum explained that they maintain talks with the government of the South American nation to establish flights that move them back. ”He said that although at one point there was not much disposition of Venezuelan authorities, it was already corrected for now.
The Ministry of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, commented that some flights have already been arranged to transfer Venezuelans to their country.
