Lara said that authorities have the elements to indicate that Juan “N” participated in the attack against Rojo de la Vega.
“We have said it and we reiterate it categorically, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has solid and compelling evidence to support the accusation that Juan “N” fired, without any intention of injuring the complainant, and this accusation is based on scientific evidence, not on statements or much less on political allusions,” he explained.
In May, members of the Navy, the police and the capital’s prosecutor’s office arrested Juan “N” in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, the alleged perpetrator of the gunshot attack against Alessandra Rojo de la Vega.
According to the investigation, the then candidate was attacked on the streets of the Peralvillo neighborhood on the night of May 11, when a subject approached her vehicle and from the opposite sidewalk, fired five shots, causing material damage to the rear of the truck.
