Mexico attracts 66% of the hacks in Latin America;  1% violates banking

The also director of banking Mifel said that in the last two years fraud against banking users has increased by 40%, in part, due to the digital acceleration of payment methods.

Becker highlighted in the first six months of 2022, the bank has invested 10.5 million pesos in technology to prevent these crimes, 37% more than last year.

Data from the Condusef indicate that in the first quarter of this year 1.3 million complaints from bank users were registered, 71% of these were due to possible fraud.

Banco Azteca, Bancoppel, Citibanamex, Banorte and BBVA group 69% of the claims of this type.
