A bilateral meeting was held by the Minister of Agricultural Development, Augusto Valderrama, with his counterpart, Víctor Manuel Villalobos Arámbula, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Government of Mexico, after having made a trip to that country.
The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation in benefits of the agricultural and livestock sector between both countries.
Specifically, bilateral issues were touched on that involve the agricultural, logistics, and national production sectors that are of great interest to strengthen relations between both nations.
Valderrama, who was received upon arrival by the Panamanian embassy in Mexico, talked about sharing with Mexico, Panama’s good practices in logistics and prevention of cross-border diseases.
For his part, Villalobos extended an invitation to the head of the agricultural portfolio to make an official visit to the United Mexican States, with the aim of observing different projects of interest such as agroparks, dual-purpose livestock, certified seeds and evaluating the possibility of importing fattening cattle from Panama to Mexico.
