Consumer confidence grows
Consumer confidence grew 1.5 points during January, compared to the previous month, reported the Inegi. The five components of the indicator observed monthly growth.
For example, the component that shows the prospects for the expected economic situation of household members in 12 months, compared to the current one, improved 1.5 points per month and reached 57 points in January. It is the best positioned component of the indicator.
The component that captures the opinion on the economic situation of the members of the household at the current time compared to what they had 12 months ago grew 0.9 points from one month to the next.
The opinion on the general situation of the country also improved: The indicator that measures the perception of consumers about the economic situation of the country today compared to what prevailed 12 months ago advanced 0.6 points.
And the item corresponding to expectations about the economic condition of the country expected within a year with respect to the current situation increased 1.4 points.
