Mexicans abroad did not stop sending money to countrymen

The sending money from abroad to Mexico have grown significantly since the Covid-19 pandemic began and have been a relief for the economy of Mexican families and have become the main source of foreign currency inflows.

During 2022 the trend did not stop, the remittances totals continued to set new records and remain above $5 billion each month.

The average amount is 385 dollars per transaction, equivalent to just over 7,500 Mexican pesos, depending on the exchange rate. JAlisco, Michoacán and Guanajuato They are the states that receive the largest amount of remittances.
