The National Statistics Institute (INEGI) reported on Thursday that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded by 0.2%, according to seasonally adjusted figures, unchanged from what it had forecast at the end of July.
The increase was led by a 0.3% rise in secondary activities – which include manufacturing – and a 0.1% rise in tertiary activities – which include services.
In contrast, primary agricultural activities – which include agriculture, fishing and mining – decreased by 0.2%.
On an annual basis, GDP grew by 2.1% in the second quarter in original figures, slightly lower than the 2.2% previously estimated.
