Mexican cartel kills Nicaraguan Jessira Chavarría González

The young Nicaraguan Jessira Massiel Chavarría González, 29 years old, originally from Matagalpa, was murdered in Mexico. According to the official Radio Ya, the victim died at the hands of a cartel from the city of Juárez.

According to the family of Chavarría González, she left Nicaragua on December 27, 2022, when there was still a strong migratory wave and the humanitarian parole measure had not entered into force, which restricts illegal entry into the humanitarian country.

It was not until the first of March that her relatives learned through the Mexican media that the young woman was murdered on January 24 by the criminals of the cartel, who did not ask for a reward to release her.

Gissel Jaraneth Chavarría González explained to Radio Ya that her sister Jessira traveled, like many Nicaraguans, “with the illusion of going to look for work and provide other living conditions for her family, however she fell into the hands of the Mexican cartels.”

In order to repatriate the body, the family of the young woman from Matagalpa needs eight thousand dollars, but they do not have the resources to do so, so they are asking for help to achieve it and give her a “Christian” burial.
