In the Maragata town of Estación González, almost 30 families obtained ownership of their houses, after having fulfilled the obligations inherent to the participants in the Mevir programs. The president of the organization, Juan Pablo Delgado, affirmed that 2022 was a record in community infrastructure works and 2023 will be in housing delivery. “All without losing the quality of Mevir,” he said.
Delgado, who attended this Thursday the 17th at Estación González together with the departmental mayor, Ana María Bentaberri, indicated, in an interview with Presidential Communication, that the deed is a stage that the Government reinforced, considering that it is important to receive the house with the property title. In this sense, he believed that it contributes to generating responsibility to pay the fee, a sense of belonging and rootedness in the community.
He specified that Mevir delivered more than 800 housing solutions per year during this administration and that it is currently developing 40 projects simultaneously.
Likewise, he stressed that this year is a record in works by community infrastructure agreements and mentioned, by way of example, those carried out with the Ministry of the Interior, the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP) and that of the Health Services of the State (ASSE), among other organizations.
He indicated that 2023 will be the year in which the greatest number of homes will be delivered, thanks to the budget effort of the administration headed by Lacalle Pou, with the purpose of deepening and accelerating construction through the traditional method and with new technologies, such as aerated concrete ( precast concrete modules), and sustainable ones in wood. “All without losing the DNA and quality of Mevir,” he stressed.
