Santo Domingo, RD. – The Office for Transport Reorganization (OPRET) informed the population that this Thursday, July 31, the extension of the Metro and Cable car from Santo Domingo, with the opening of doors at 5:30 in the morningto provide greater ease of access to users of this means of transport.
As of this Thursday the subway and the Santo Domingo cable car (from Galey Even the Charles de Gaulle) will offer services from Monday to Friday, from 5:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night. On Saturdays the Metro will offer services from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm and the cable car until 9:00 pm on Sundays and holidays the service remains as usual, from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm in the Metro and from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm in the cable car.

In a press release the institution explained that this measure is part of the government’s strategy “RD moves”which seeks to improve mobility in the capital city and offer facilities to users who need to move earlier to their workplaces, university studies and other daily activities. This measure will be evaluated and monitored to decide your optimization.
