Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecast scattered showers for this Sunday, due to the incidence of a trough that will be affecting the weather conditions.
The rains will be more noticeable over the northeast, southeast, north and southwest of the national territory.
In the afternoon, increases in cloudiness caused by this atmospheric phenomenon are expected that will leave scattered showers, thunderstorms and possible gusts of wind towards provinces such as: Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, San Juan, Azua, Elías Pina, Dajabon, among others.
These precipitations will be present until the early hours of the night and then gradually disappear.
Tomorrow, Monday, the trough is expected to continue over our territory, providing favorable conditions to generate rainfall, but these will be limited by the low moisture content in the air mass, only a few downpours and thunderstorms being expected that would be occurring in isolation during the afternoon. and early hours of the night, especially in towns in the northeast region and the Central Cordillera.
On Tuesday, although the trough will continue over the country, other conditions at low levels of the atmosphere will maintain a low moisture content, so only a few showers are expected in towns in the aforementioned areas.
The temperatures will be hot during the day, due to the incidence of the east/southeast wind, however, at night and early morning the environment will feel pleasantly cool.
A minimum temperature is forecast between 10 °C and 14 °C in mountainous areas and some inland valleys such as: Constanza, Jarabacoa, Hondo Valle and Polo, and may be lower in higher altitude areas such as in the Valle Nuevo National Parks. , J. del Carmen Ramírez, J.
