The National Meteorological Office forecasts for this Sunday a slight increase in cloudiness towards the island, which could cause scattered showers and possible gusts of wind, especially in the afternoon and evening in the north, northeast, southeast (including Santo Domingo and the National District) and the Central Cordillera.
These conditions are due to the combination of a moderate east-northeast wind and a trough associated with a weak frontal system located in the Atlantic Ocean, to the north of our territory.
The temperatures will continue to be pleasant, being cool towards the interior of the country, especially at night and early in the morning, due to the wind coming from the northeast and the winter season.
Regarding the maritime conditions, Onamet maintains the recommendations to small boats to navigate with caution on the Atlantic coast.
Monday will continue without appreciable changes in the country’s atmospheric conditions, however, the effects of the moderate northeast wind will persist over our territory to give rise to scattered showers and isolated gusts of wind in the afternoon and early evening.
This will be appreciable in the northern, northeast, southeast and Cordillera Central regions.
