Meteorology predicts little rain and pleasant temperatures this Saturday

Meteorología pronostica pocas lluvias y temperaturas agradables este sábado

Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) predicted this Saturday a clear sky and little precipitation in the provinces that make up the national territory, due to a high pressure system that continues to impose quite dry and stable conditions over the entire Dominican geography.

He indicated that the rainfall, if it occurs, will be caused by the northeast wind that could bring isolated cloudiness, generating widely isolated and short-lived rains in provinces such as: La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná and Puerto Plata.

He reported that for Sunday, the effects of the high pressure system over the territory will maintain a sunny environment, without significant rain throughout the national geography, making this conducive to carrying out outdoor activities.

He added that any precipitation that may occur will be in the form of weak and isolated rains over the mountain systems, due to local effects.

As for temperatures, he said they will remain pleasant and cool, especially in mountain areas and inland valleys, where occasional fog and mist are expected.

On the Atlantic coast, Meteorology recommends operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels from Cabo Engaño (La Altagracia), to Miches (El Seibo) and from Río San Juan (María Trinidad Sánchez) to Punta Cabarete (Puerto Plata), remain in port due to abnormal wind and waves. On the rest of the coast, navigate with caution near the coastal perimeter without venturing out to sea.
