Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported this Sunday that the incidence of an atmosphere with low moisture content remains over a large part of the national geography, little rain and skies with scattered clouds, without ruling out slight cloudy increases during the day.
The agency indicated that the cloudiness could cause some widely isolated showers, due to a trough located in the western portion of the island, and the effects of the easterly wind on some isolated locations in the eastern plain, Central Cordillera and the northeast.
Onamet forecasts that for this Monday the country will continue with few changes in the weather conditions, as a result of a reduced air mass of humidity, which will inhibit the rains in the country.

However, the trough to the northwest of the island, associated with the frontal system located over Cuba, and the local effects could cause some isolated showers in the afternoon towards sectors of the northeast region, the Caribbean coast and the Central Cordillera.
Temperatures will be slightly hot during the day with values ranging from 30 °C to 32 °C in urban and coastal areas, while at night they will become pleasant to cool due to the time of year (winter).
The minimum temperatures will have their greatest decrease in mountain areas and interior valleys with values between 6 °C and 12 °C, with lower values in higher areas.
