The Argentine Messi and the Brazilian Neymarwho formed the legendary “MSN” together with Luis Suarez wearing the FC Barcelona shirt from 2014 to 2017, welcomed with satisfaction this Tuesday the announcement of the end of the Uruguayan’s international career. “You are one of a kind Luis Suarez, on and off the pitch!!! I love you so much,” wrote Lionel Messi, 37 like Suarez, on his Instagram account, accompanied by a photo of the two players hugging each other.

“Luisito forever,” Neymar, 32, wrote in Spanish on Instagram. “You have written your name in the history of your country’s football! You are very great, I love you very much,” the Brazilian added, accompanying his text with red and blue heart emojis and a photo of ‘El Pistolero’ in Uruguay’s colours.

Messi and Suárez, now teammates at Inter Miami in the United States MLS, played together for six years in Barcelona where they forged their friendship, and built with Neymar (before the Brazilian left for Paris SG), one of the most efficient and prolific attacks in the history of European football.
