The decision to settle in Kansas City, announced to EFE by sources from the Argentine Football Association (AFA), responds to the intention to prioritize proximity to the stadiums where the Albiceleste will play in the first phase of the competition.
Argentina’s matches in the first phase
The debut of Argentina, champion of the last edition played in 2022 in Qatar, will be on June 16 against Algeria at Arrowhead Stadium, located precisely in Kansas City and home of the city’s team.
Days later, on June 22, those led by Lionel Scaloni will face the match of the second day of Group J against Austria at AT&T Stadium in the city of dallas, located about 800 kilometers from Kansas City.
Five days later, the team Lionel Messi will face Jordan, also at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
The Compass Minerals National Performance Center has, among other facilities, five playing fields and a sports performance laboratory that includes hyperbaric chambers and cryotherapy rooms.
