Through his Twitter account, the former president and leader of the Citizen Community (CC), Carlos Mesa, accused his counterpart and leader of the MAS, Evo Morales, this Sunday of “perverting justice” to the point of turning it into a “danger” for human rights.
“Judges free murderers; 40 political prisoners; MAS prosecutor persecutes Tarija leaders; they release an arsonist and prosecute Revilla; They protect overwhelmers and the Governor of Potosí. This is how the justice that Evo and the MAS perverted until it became a danger to human rights operates,” the CC leader tweeted.
Mesa alluded with the post to the release of murderers by judges, such as the case of Richard Choque Flores, who received house arrest despite having been sentenced to 30 years in prison without pardon for murder.

He also made an allegory for the release of the former leader of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils related to the MAS, Jesús Vera, the main accused of the burning of the PumaKatari buses; and to the arrest warrant against the former mayor of La Paz, Luis Revilla.
He criticized the actions of the Prosecutor’s Office in Potosí, favorable to the governor of that department, who was involved in the negotiations for the irregular purchase of 41 ambulances for that region.
