In a forceful demonstration of support and commitment, the people of the Mérida state mobilized to express their support to President Nicolás Maduro, reaffirming his loyalty and commitment to the Bolivarian Revolution.
From the Libertador municipality, Antonio Spineti and Dinni parish, in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood neighborhoods and community leaders joined on this day. “We continue to be deployed in this mobilization, the people have come to support President Nicolás Maduro, our commander in chief and leader of the revolution,” said Diego Romero, highlighting the integration of popular power, youth, grandparents, women and workers in this joint action.
It was reported in a press release that, the mayor of the Libertador municipality, Nelson Álvarez, was also present and said: “This support is born from the conscience sown in a town that defends the dignity, sovereignty and independence that Bolívar bequeathed us, and that today the worker president Nicolás Maduro leads with victory after victory.”

Merideña women, represented by Eva Joana Márquez, coordinator of the Manuelita Sáez Movement, ratified their commitment: “We support the president because it is our guarantee of peace. We are a free state and willing to defend our homeland. Enough of international interferences and abuses. We are love, peace, and that Nicolás Maduro lives.”
The governor of the state of Mérida, Arnaldo Sanchez, stressed that in the midst of recent difficulties, such as the emergency caused by the rains 51 days ago, the Merideño people keep their mind high and the firm commitment: “Today we are with the chest raised to tell everyone that we are going to defend our leader Nicolás Maduro under any circumstances,” he emphasized.
This mobilization reflects the unity of all the living forces of Mérida, from local authorities to popular power, in the defense of the socialist project promoted by Hugo Chávez and consolidated by Nicolás Maduro, with the purpose of guaranteeing a worthy future for the Venezuelan people
