Merchant who killed thief receives death threats

The owner of the assaulted business in Areguá received death threats from relatives of the murdered offender. Today he must testify before the Prosecutor’s Office and there is a police guard in the area.

Prosecutor Sofía Galeano will take an investigative statement this morning, the merchant who reacted and shot the criminal who stole his merchandise and income on Wednesday afternoon.

It will also call witnesses, including supermarket employees, customers, and others who were at the scene.

The owner of the crazyHe started receiving death threats and fears for his life. The complaint was filed with the jurisdictional police station, which already ordered police guard in the area.

“Via messages, it has screenshots where you can read how they are agreeing how to do justice in their own hands”commented the prosecutor, in an interview with Abc Tv.

He revealed that this is the third time they have robbed the same business and thatthe owners are fed up with the insecurity and the losses caused by crime.

The event occurred on Wednesday around 4:00 p.m. in the city of Areguá, where two thugs on a motorcycle broke into the Potensys premises, where, allegedly with a weapon in hand, they threatened the managers and stole the collection, as well as cell phones and other objects.

When one of them was about to start the motorcycle to flee, was shot in the face, fell and died, while the accomplice managed to escape on foot.
