“This Historical Block that is being proposed in our country based on a new social-historical formation for Venezuela,” was stated by the Sectoral Vice President of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, this Thursday, during his participation in the Mass Training Plan in Popular Planning. “Popular Power, Electoral Power, Communal Circuit and the Deepening of Participatory Democracy.”
In this sense, Menéndez pointed out that “direct democracy deserves a new territorial structure, new functions and parameters and attention to the direct exercise of Popular Power as a structuring part of the Venezuelan State,” outlined a press release.
New scale: The Commune
The Minister of Planning added that a new scale is being incorporated, which is the Commune and the Communal Circuits. “The President of the Republic burst in with the function that the resources be directly managed by the Popular Power with the two consultations that have been carried out this year.”
Likewise, he stressed that the Communal Circuits already have an electoral committee and will go this coming December 15 to the election of judges of the peace, “the different powers of the nation rooted and being built on the scale of the Communes and the Communal Circuits” .
Training plan
For his part, the president of the Venezuelan School of Planning Foundation, Ricardo Molina, reported that this Mass Training Plan in Popular Planning had the participation of 35 thousand people, reaching the figure of 4,620,000 participants.
“It is a permanent dynamic exercise for the construction of democracy throughout the national territory and today we see as an example of this the upcoming elections of judges of the peace in the Communal Circuits throughout the country to deepen popular participation,” Molina pointed out. .
He explained that from the Venezuelan School of Planning they are providing elements to “deepen and strengthen the awareness of participatory democracy and that our Popular Power continues to advance, empowering itself to take the reins of the popular government in its hands.”
