To a very directed question about the relevance of the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, becoming the next president, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador replied: “everyone has the right, women and men. That will be decided by the Mexicans at the time; there are women and there are men. Already in our movement those who can represent continuity with change are already known, it is already known who they are, there is no longer covered”.

He reiterated that he is not going to lean towards anyone and will support whoever is the winner in the polls that will be carried out for the appointment of the candidate, without this implying the commitment of public resources. because that is forbidden and immoral. López Obrador went further in his definitions to ask for fairness in the nomination.

The word equity means equality, it is not just women; equity is that there is equality of men and women. Because before yes, the word equity was almost synonymous with everything for women and, of course, they deserve it; but no, equity is equality, women and men.

Confident that in succession he will preserve the path of transformation that he has traced, he pointed out that there are still many things to do and consolidate, among which he highlighted energy policy, both to protect the Federal Electricity Commission from the ambitions of private companies , as in Petróleos Mexicanos, that allows self-sufficiency: that is going to be practically resolved, that we do not buy gasoline abroad, that it be produced in Mexico.

However, he recognized that among the magnitude of the country’s problems I also have to choose between drawbacks, because there is a lot of lag, there were many grievances. I have to prioritize, say this yes, this yes, we are going to let those who continue face it.
