Memphis Depay makes his debut for Brazilian side Corinthians with a decisive victory

The Dutch striker Memphis Depayformer Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid player, made his debut in Brazil this Saturday with a 3-0 victory for his new team, Corinthians, against Atlético Goianiense, although he did not score any goals.

At 21 minutes of the second half Depay came onto the field, replacing Yuri Albertoand very soon he had the opportunity to score a goal after a pass from the Peruvian André Carrilloalthough his shot went wide.

At his presentation press conference last week, the striker said that Brazil was the “Mecca of football” and praised its “beautiful” and “authentic” style of play, as well as the “energy” of its fans.

The player is part of a battery of reinforcements announced in recent months that also include to the Spaniard Hector Hernandez, the Peruvian Andre Carrillo and the Venezuelan Jose Martinez.
